Recent Pics

The last week has been rather crazy with packing and getting everything in order to move. Grace and I have been having fun though...organizing different items, climbing in and out of boxes, getting our fingers stuck with tape, and drawing pretty pictures on every box we can find. I do have a few pictures from our week including some events we attended. Enjoy!

Coloring with markers is messy. I am giving her crayons now, but she isn't having nearly as much fun.

We did get dressed up for Cliff's end of the year Athletic Banquet. I love these two people.

We also attended a birthday party last weekend where Grace was able to feed the ducks. She was a little reluctant at first.

She was really studying these ducks. Wasn't sure if they were safe or not.

She started to get the hang of it after a while. She even enjoyed some of the bread herself. :)

New Home

We are buying a home! Well, we are set to close at the end of the month, so we still have a few details to wrap up. If all goes as planned, we will be in our new home in June! Hooray! I don't think I have been so ready to move. It seems like the last month has gone by so slowly in my anticipation. Anyone else experienced such impatience? I consistently pray to focus on the day at hand, but I feel my mind drifting towards paint colors, flooring, furniture placement, and home organization. It know its important to make decisions about the house and try to be as organized as I can especially with our little Elijah coming in July, but I don't want to miss out on today either! We are coming up on the last month where it is just Grace and us. Oh, how I want to invest and cherish these days. I am trying daily to focus but it seems the distractions and impatience continues to come. I pray that I can surrender all of these details and anticipation to God, so I can soak in every moment with our little pumpkin. In the end, what is really important?

More Easter Pics

I received these photos from the Easter Egg Hunt we attended and had to show them off. Yes, she is kissing a statue. It was just her size, and I guess she needed to spread the love. How cute!

Franklin, NC

We traveled to Franklin, North Carolina this past weekend for my sister's wedding. It was a beautifully blessed event, and I so wish I had pictures to show of the bride, groom and flower girl! While I am waiting on the photos, I thought I would share some interesting pictures and stories of our travels.

Arriving to our destination last week was a little scary. As many of you know, we traveled through the storm and tornadoes that swept through Georgia, Alabama, and the Carolinas. Our flight was delayed out of Dallas giving us some time to miss some of it. When we arrived in Atlanta late Wednesday night we still had a 3 hour drive up to Franklin, North Carolina. We had to make a pit stop for the pregnant lady and landed upon the first original Chick-fil-a. I don't think I have seen Cliff so excited...

As we left Chick-fil-a, after buying a few goodies including a some stuffed cows, we received weather reports from family thinking we had missed the majority of the storm. I was a little relieved, but still nervous about our drive. Cliff and Dad were ready to see a tornado...crazies. As we were driving about 20 minutes outside of Franklin, we were stopped by parked cars and debris. A tornado had just passed through this area and the roads were impassible. Praise the Lord, we were not at the scene any earlier. Sometimes delays are God's way of protecting us from the disaster that awaits. Please keep the families affected by the storms in your prayers.

We did finally arrive to our destination the following day after spending the night in a motel where the tornado hits. Even though I did have dreams of tornadoes all night, we did get some much needed rest. Especially Grace. Here are some photos and events I do have from the wedding weekend.
